Prosoft is seeking candidates for a QA Automation Engineer position with our client based in Louisville, Kentucky.
- This is a full-time, long-term contract position with no end date and Prosoft offers the following benefits:

Position Responsibilities:
The QA Automation Engineer will:
- Create and maintain automated code coverage for all stages of the Software Development process
- Serve as an Automation Testing subject matter expert, advising the team/department on best practices, and the adoption of new tools and platforms
- Design and execute automated and manual test plans/cases
- Build and maintain new Test Automation Frameworks and automation test scripts
- Enhance and update existing automation frameworks and test scripts to test new features each sprint
- Develop and run automated tests to ensure software releases are free of bugs and meet expected quality standards for deployment to production
- Use tools and languages like Cypress, JavaScript, TypeScript, Selenium, Playwright, Postman, etc. to develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts
- Work as part of an Agile team, collaborating with all members of the Scrum team including Software Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other QA Engineers
- Create test cases and plans based on User Stories that meet business requirements and ensure that acceptance criteria are accurate and testable for each release/sprint
- Identify and track bugs/errors and communicate findings with members of the Scrum team
Required Skills and Abilities include:
- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation Testing, using tools and technologies like:
- Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, or similar
- JavaScript and TypeScript
- Postman, Apigee, JMeter, or similar
- Azure DevOps
- Strong understanding of the full QA process and experience designing/building automation scripts and test frameworks, creating test plans/cases, and performing manual testing as needed
- Experience working in an Agile environment, preferably using Scrum
- Experience with system, integration, regression, performance, & user acceptance testing
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction, acting as a subject matter expert
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology related field or commensurate years of experience
