Catholic Charities of Louisville (CCL) is the social-service arm of the Archdiocese of Louisville (ADOL). We provide help and create hope for the poor and vulnerable through a wide range of programs, assisting clients of all races, backgrounds and beliefs. Our service area includes 24 counties throughout Central Kentucky.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Food Pantry Coordinator is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Father Jack Jones food pantry, located in the Churchill Downs neighborhood of Louisville. This person is responsible for keeping the pantry clean and stocked, coordinating donations and food procurement to ensure smooth pickup and delivery, and maintaining regular operations hours. The Food Pantry Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the team of volunteers who staff the pantry, performing some administrative duties, maintaining partnerships with various vendors, donors, and community members. The Food Pantry Coordinator may be asked to assist with pantry coverage at other Catholic Charities pantries as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
· Maintain monthly food supply based on FJJ inventory protocols and community needs.
· Pickup, receive, and record food donations.
· Stock storage part of the pantry and ensure all food is sorted and stored in a safe and sanitary manner.
· Manages volunteer schedule to ensure adequate coverage in pantry and with pickups.
· Stock the pantry so that there is sufficient food on shelves.
· Record daily food/household distribution data and assist with monthly food bank reports.
· Manage the food distribution process with the help of staff and volunteers.
· Act as a personal shopper and help clients to choose healthier food options.
· Orient food bank volunteers with tasks to be done to prepare for food distributions.
· Manage clients’ movement through the pantry line with the help of staff and volunteers.
· Assist with home food deliveries.
· Complete intakes for new clients and update client information in the agency database.
· Assist with inventory tracking and reporting
· Ensure the warehouse and pantry is clean and organized.
· All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent plus 2 years of related experience is preferred.
