Role:
Under the direct supervision of the Branch Manager, the Member Relationship Officer I is responsible for accurately processing transactions that involve cash and negotiable instruments and balancing a cash drawer within specified guidelines. Project a friendly and professional attitude while assisting all members and potential members with their financial needs, and continuously work to exceed member’s expectations through providing exceptional service and proactive servicing skills. Be knowledgeable of all products and services the Credit Union offers and provide the member with the necessary information to make an informed financial decision. Demonstrate courtesy and teamwork through positive interactions with co-workers, the management team and other departments. Promote positive relationships with representatives from local schools, universities, and community partners to communicate the benefits of credit union membership.

Experience: Previous experience in customer service and cash handling at a credit union or financial institution preferred.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust, diplomacy and professionalism is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others, building relationships, soliciting cooperation and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
Other Skills: Possess a working knowledge of office equipment and procedures, including ability to operate a computer, navigate the internet, and use Microsoft Office. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy. Ability to make mathematical computations, use a 10 key calculator, type with reasonable speed and accuracy, and write legibly. Possess mental alertness, neatness in appearance, punctuality, and dependability. Must be bondable.
