Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming phone calls immediately providing members with accurate information in a timely manner.  Perform basic account transactions including but not limited to: assist with debit and credit card management, share transfers, balance inquiries, loan payments, update contact information, order checks, and technical assistance.  Maintain courteous member relations as well as insuring the confidentiality of member finances.                  
  • Explain membership benefits and discuss various account alternatives with members.  Pro-actively promote and sell all credit union products to credit union members and prospective members. 
  • Respond to voicemails, e-mails, secure messages, and faxes promptly, providing members with accurate information.
Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Two years of similar or related experience. 

Education: A high school education or equivalent.       

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust, diplomacy and professionalism is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.  Work may involve motivation or influencing others.  Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

Other Skills: Ability to learn new things in a relatively short amount of time. Initiative and ability to handle numerous assignments concurrently. Ability to prioritize work flow. Must have basic understanding of operating a computer. Ability to use Microsoft outlook, word and excel.  Ability to navigate the internet, use a 10 key calculator and computer keyboard by touch.  Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy.  Must be Bondable.
